This year I have had the opportunity to conduct autumn photography workshops in Dolina Baryczy twice (in September and October).
Both editions involved groups of 10 people who spent the night in the atmospheric de Sas Vineyard.
My workshops are aimed at beginners and those who have already taken their first steps in photography. Participants take pictures with both cameras and phones. During the workshops, I focus primarily on inspiring participants with my approach to nature and photography, directing their attention to being mindful here and now, sharing my observations of the world with people who look at nature in a similar way. In addition to numerous thematic blocks devoted to the theory of landscape and nature photography, we have time to go out into the field in the rhythm of slow-mo from early morning hours (and not for quick snaps), where we photograph: deer at sunrise swimming from island to island, morning mists and forest lasers, waterfowl, old beech forests, oak alleys located by ponds, semi-wild horses and forest inhabitants of the forest - fallow deer and deer.
After an intensive morning, we eat a warm breakfast in the field and go further, because beautiful shots are waiting... In the evening we sit until late by the campfire and share our stories.
We also visit the Młyńska Gallery of Idalia and Kazik Laskowicz - well-known and respected photographers from Dolina Baryczy, who run a small gallery in Wierzchowice and talk about nature photography with great enthusiasm.
Weekend workshops in Winnica de Sas are a very intensive time spent among people who love nature and photography, with various levels of skills. This is delicious, home-cooked food, which has surprised the participants more than once. They come to Dolina Baryczy not only for new photographic and nature experiences, but also to meet people with similar interests, who on a cool autumn morning (on weekends) are able to get up at 5 a.m. to admire and photograph nature. Friendships are formed that last long after the meeting ends.
